​St. James Men's Group (SJMG)
Among the activities of the St. James Men's Group is the sale of smoked turkeys, hams and salmon for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, church maintenance, prayer meetings, social activities and various dinners throughout the year. The Men's Group donates money raised to local charities and causes.
All men are welcome to participate.

 2019 Events

St. James Men's Group - Ham, Turkey, Salmon Sale

Friday-Saturday, December 21-22
The Men's Group will be preparing hams, turkeys, and salmon filet for Christmas. Each year these sales generate thousands of dollars for the Men's Group to use for outreach and mission purposes.  We want to develop a collaborative way to identify what needs in the community can be best served with these funds, but first, we need to earn them!

We need help to make this happen. Starting on Friday night, December 21, we will be preparing and cooking. We need people from then until 5:30 on Saturday, December 22.  We need the most help early on Saturday morning, starting at 6:30 a.m.


 St. James Men's Group - Christmas Fellowship December 19th
Thursday, December 19th 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Join us for a tour and sample the selections at The Commons in Unity Park (see map). The Men's Group will find craft libations at Community Tap, fresh-baked breads SC at Bake Room, java at Methodical Coffee, and the tastes of at Automatic Taco and GB&D.


St. James Men's Group - Ham & Turkey Sale
Tuesday & Wednesday, November 19-20th
The Men's Group will be preparing hams and turkeys for Thanksgiving. This is a great time to come to the church and enjoy fellowship while fulfilling a righteous mission. Each year these sales generate thousands of dollars for the Men's Group to use for outreach and mission purposes. Preparation begins Tuesday @ 6:30 pm. The greatest need for help is on Wednesday 7:00 am to noon and again from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Saturday, October 26th @ 9:00 am until 1:00 pm
Come and enjoy our easy-going group of volunteers for as long as you can. This will serve as our monthly meeting.

St. James Men's Group - Fellowship Gathering (Golf Optional)

Thursday, September 12th @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
SJMG will meet at TopGolf on Thursday, September 12th from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Amenities include concessions and unlimited golf driving (optional). Cost $20 per person. TopGolf is located at 201 Clifton Court, Greenville, SC 29615.

All men are invited to join at the home of Lee Plumblee. Please RSVP for directions if you will be attending. He will be providing dinner. BYOB

St. James Men's Group annual retreat at Kanuga - March 9-10
The St. James Men's Group annual retreat at Kanuga Conference Center will be March 9-10. Men should contact Ken Littlejohn at to attend. Deacon Al Hipp will lead Christian fellowship and the Group will evaluate donation requests for local charities and causes. Accommodations are $110.00/night. All meals are provided. Scholarships available upon request.

St. James Men's Group - Kanuga Retreat
March 9-10
The St. James Men's Group annual retreat at Kanuga Conference Center will be March 9-10. Contact Ken Littlejohn to attend. Deacon Al Hipp will lead Christian fellowship beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday and the Group will evaluate donation requests for local charities and causes in the afternoon. Come for the day or enjoy overnight cabins Friday and/or Saturday nights. $110.00/night. All meals are provided. Scholarships available upon request.
