Dena Veazey, Parish Administrator
Dena Veazey moved to Greenville in June of 1999 and became Administrative Assistant at St. James the next month. Her title was changed to Parish Administrator in January, 2009.
Before coming to St. James Dena worked as Church Secretary at First Presbyterian Church, Harrisonburg, VA. From 1992-1998 she worked for the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention; during her mission service she lived in San José, Costa Rica, and the cities of Armenia and Bogota in Colombia, South America.
She has also worked as church pianist, private piano teacher, high school math teacher, middle school migrant tutor, elementary music teacher and seminary office service employee.
Dena graduated from University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education, with majors in piano, voice and mathematics.
Dena currently sings in the St. James Adult Choir and the Greenville Chorale. For seven seasons she accompanied the Gap Creek Singers, a community choir in Greer whose purpose is to provide scholarships for music students.
She and her husband Rick have two grown children and three young grandchildren.

The St. James business office is open during the program year Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During the summer months the office closes at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Please consult our online calendar for additional closure dates.
