Ministration at the Time of Death (Last Rites)

Depart, O Christian soul, out of this world;
In the Name of God the Father Almighty who created you;
In the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you;
In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you.
May your rest be this day in peace,
and your dwelling place in the Paradise of God.
Book of Common Prayer p. 464
For centuries the Church and its clergy have lifted up those who are dying in prayer. This can be a great comfort to those who are in the process of dying and their families. Ministration at Time of Death marks the transition from this world into the next and often includes confession, absolution, the reception of communion (viaticum), and a final blessing.
If you or a family member desire to have the clergy present to attend to this need, please contact the Church office at 864-244-6358 to make your request known.
