St. James Episcopal is located on Piney Mountain in Greenville, SC, adjacent to North Pleasantburg Drive, Cherrydale Shopping Center, and Paris Mountain. Originally located in downtown Greenville, it moved to its present location a generation ago. Our symbol represents the "baptismal shell" in a byzantine mosaic, indicating that St. James belongs to an ancient tradition, yet we are transformed into a new creation through Christ, symbolized by the color changes of the cross.
